L’Arcimboldo Magazine e Guida enogastronomica, prende il nome dal pittore del ‘500 Giuseppe Arcimboldo poiché l’artista realizzò le famose “Teste Composte”, ovvero dipinti che, dall’insieme di prodotti ortofrutticoli, pesci e prodotti di cucina rappresentati su tela, rivelavano figure umane bizzarre, fantastiche a tratti misteriose.
L’Arcimboldo è altresì una statuina dalla forma moderna e stilizzata, creata dal 3D Artist Francesco Conte, esperto in lighting e look dev www.frankwy.com, che premia in Italia e all’estero gli Artisti del Gusto: custodi e ambasciatori di arti antiche, capaci di saper narrare la storia, di comunicare la cultura del proprio territorio, guardando al futuro e restando al passo con i tempi le tendenze, con unicità e capacità emozionale.

All’inizio degli anni ’50 Silvio Carta fonda l’omonima azienda, dedicandosi immediatamente alla vinificazione e l’affinamento della Vernaccia, vino di nobile tradizione che costituisce un’autentica gloria dell’enologia sarda. Con le prime annate in commercio, riscuote subito il favore del pubblico, anche e soprattutto oltre i confini regionali, diventando nell’arco di pochi lustri, una delle cantine più prestigiose e conosciute attive in Sardegna. Dopo “appena 60 anni” (come ama dire), il fondatore è ancora al timone della casa vitivinicola di Baratili San Pietro, insieme al figlio più grande Elio. Per lui gavetta in Sardegna e diploma di laurea nel 1972 all’Istituto tecnico enologico di Conegliano Veneto. Erede ancora più visionario di Silvio, galantuomo dalla lucida follia, sin da ragazzino attento “lettore del mondo” che lo circonda.
Visionario e anticipatore come lo è stato nel 1981, quando, prevedendo la grande crisi commerciale, che da lì a poco avrebbe stravolto il piccolo mondo della Vernaccia, ha trasformato una piccola area di pertinenza aziendale, in una delle distillerie più avanzate e produttive dell’Isola e tra le prime dell’intero stivale. Gin, grappe, vermouth, bitter e distillati da Vernaccia Riserva, prodotti con sole botaniche e materie prime provenienti dall’orto botanico interno alla tenuta aziendale, sono diventati veri e propri ambasciatori contemporanei della Sardegna in tutto il mondo.
L’azienda nasce in un’area particolarmente vocata alla coltivazione di pregiati vitigni e allo sviluppo spontaneo di piante officinali. Il mare dalle limpide acque, le aspre montagne ricoperte da intricate vegetazioni di selvaggia bellezza, i venti che soffiano da varie direzioni per gran parte dell’anno e il sole splendente in tutte le stagioni donano alla flora e alla fauna presente nell’isola delle caratteristiche organolettiche uniche al mondo che non potranno mai essere imitate.
La Sardegna è una Regione celebre per le numerose testimonianze della presenza umana fin da epoca antichissima, di cui i nuraghi rappresentano l’immagine più significativa e nota presso il grande pubblico. Il grande fascino dell’isola non deriva tuttavia unicamente dalla singolare bellezza e varietà delle aree marittime, ma anche dagli altri elementi caratteristici che ne fanno un mondo completamente a sé assolutamente inconfondibile, con le sue peculiarità come la cultura, le usanze e tradizioni, i costumi popolari ancora oggi gelosamente conservati, l’archeologia e, ultima ma non meno importante, l’eno-gastronomia.

In the early 1950s, Silvio Carta founded his eponymous winery, immediately dedicating himself to the vinification and maturation of Vernaccia, a wine with a noble tradition that represents the true glory of Sardinian winemaking. With the first vintages on the market, it immediately gained public acclaim, especially beyond the region’s borders, becoming, within a few decades, one of the most prestigious and well-known wineries in Sardinia. After “just 60 years” (as he likes to say), the founder is still at the helm of the Baratili San Pietro winery, alongside his eldest son, Elio. He gained experience in Sardinia and graduated in 1972 from the Technical Institute of Oenology in Conegliano Veneto. He is Silvio’s even more visionary heir, a gentleman with a clear mind, and a keen “reader of the world” around him from a young age.
A visionary and pioneer, as he was in 1981 when, foreseeing the great commercial crisis that would soon overturn the small world of Vernaccia, he transformed a small company property into one of the most advanced and productive distilleries on the island and among the first in Italy. Gin, grappa, vermouth, bitters, and Vernaccia Riserva spirits, produced exclusively with botanicals and raw materials from the company’s own botanical garden, have become true contemporary ambassadors of Sardinia throughout the world.
The company was founded in an area particularly suited to the cultivation of fine grape varieties and the spontaneous growth of medicinal plants. The clear sea, the rugged mountains covered with intricate vegetation of wild beauty, the winds blowing from various directions for much of the year, and the radiant sun throughout the year give the island’s flora and fauna unique sensory characteristics that can never be replicated.
Sardinia is a region renowned for its numerous traces of human presence since ancient times, of which the nuraghes are the most significant and well-known image.
